Puma is the German-based footwear company that manufactures athletic, casual footwear as well as apparel like a tracksuit, shorts, socks and many more. Puma is the third-largest sportswear manufacturer in the world. The company was formed in 1948 by Rudolf Dassler.
Rudolf and his brother Adolf Dassler formed this company in 1924 and named it as Dasslers Brother shoe factory in german it is known as “Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik“.
The bonding between both of the brothers deteriorated and the company split into two in 1948 and lead to the formation of two separate company i.e. Adidas and Puma. Puma is handed over to Rudolf and Adidas to Adolf. The company has been listed to the Frankfurt stock exchange in Germany. Since 1 July 2013, the company has been led by former football professional Bjørn Gulden who was the CEO of the company.
After the split, the Radolf Dassler change the company name to RUDA and changed its logo. Later on, it was to change to the logo that we see today. The company is know sponsoring many of the athletic associations such as Cuba, Grenada, Portugal, and many other associations around the world. Puma also sponsors BMW and Porsche in all its Motorsports activities. Puma is the first-ever company to make spokes on the sole of the shoes, especially for the athletes wear.
PUMA’s aim was to always sign the top-notch superstars playing in PUMAs. Pelé has long been a member of the team and he wore the new PUMA KING boots with success. Pelé is crowned “Player of the Tournament” while wearing PUMA KING boots.
